Tania Levitsky, CT

Tania is a Counselor Trainee at Lakeshore Health and Wellness pursuing a Masters in Mental Health Clinical Counseling through Liberty University. She has been enlisted with the Ohio Army National Guard for over 10 years as a behavioral health specialist. During her experience she has addressed various concerns with soldiers such as, deployment stressors, adjustment, anxiety, depression, and substance use, with a focus on suicide prevention and outreach. She has experience with inpatient psychiatry, assisting with relaxation and stress management groups. She has experience with community-based outreach, working with individuals on improving mental health while working to achieve housing stability. Tania adopts a holistic approach, and will apply her experience of Cognitive Behavioral Therapy, Person-Centered, Motivational Interviewing technique and Trauma Informed Care by meeting clients where they are in their journey and building from their strengths. Has an interest in pursuing Art Therapy and utilizing expressive arts when possible. She plans to find her preferred therapy niche during this practicum and internship. She enjoys spending time with her family and relaxing at home.
