Our team of experienced counselors uses a variety of evidence-based techniques, including cognitive-behavioral therapy and mindfulness practices, to help our clients overcome negative thought patterns and behaviors. We believe in a holistic approach to mental health, addressing both the mind and body.

Groups

Lakeshore Health & Wellness offers several different group therapies. Group participants benefit from the interventions of the therapist, and also from observing others in the group and receiving feedback from group members.

Our Therapy

Depression & Anxiety

Depression, fear, and anxiety are some of the most common and uncomfortable emotions that we can experience. Through counseling and treatment, we are able to help you recover the motivation, perspective, and joy that you once had in your life.

Trauma & PTSD

Many individuals can experience symptoms associated with painful and traumatic circumstances. Anxiety, fear, and hopelessness are a few emotions that can linger past traumatic events. We can help you overcome these symptoms and guide you through the process of grief and healing.

Relationships

Relationship counseling can be beneficial to couples who are looking to strengthen their emotional connection, in all stages of their relationship. Therapy sessions are held with both couples and is a supportive place to discuss issues and solutions to better strengthen your relationship.

Finn

If you've been to the Lakeshore office in the past couple months, you may have been greeted by Finn. Finn is a black Lab, born March 30, 2022. He will be trained to be a therapy dog, when he gets a little older. Now he is in the critical social development stage, where getting exposure to as many people will help him later on.

You can generally find him in the office on Mondays and Tuesdays, other days upon request! If you are in the office on those days and do not wish to run into him, please let Mandi or Linda know!

Finn is currently learning basic commands like, touch- hold out hand and ask him to touch, sit, no, down, stay....and please stop eating my fingers and hair!!

The B.E.S.T. Group

BUILD ESSENTIAL SKILLS TOGETHER!

The B.E.S.T. Group

A safe, caring learning environment, where we teach and strengthen the following skills: cognitive and emotional regulation, social and interpersonal relationships, character and judgement, and mindset. This psychotherapy group will incorporate education, role playing, games, art, music, videos, and community engagement.

Who: Boys and Girls age 13-15

When: Tuesday 5:00-6:00PM

Michele has over 21 years experience working with children and adolescents, with extensive experience in DBT skills and group therapy.
